Three 600 kW generators were designed as replacements of existing units which were in excess of 30 years old. One 1,000 kW unit was designed for additional emergency power to serve the new emergency department. Temporary generators were utilized during construction to maintain the emergency distribution system until the new units were commissioned. Design services included mechanical ventilation requirements, fuel system modifications and connections and electrical distribution.
